2020 Gal

It's exciting to be posting on this blog in 2020, and still be passionate about gyaru fashion.
When I started this blog I was in my third year of high school. I had no money, strict parents and no one to talk about gyaru fashion with.
Now, i'm inching closer to my 30's, in a wonderful relationship, friends with a whole bunch of wonderful gyaru and trying to enjoy life as much as possible.

"Where did I go?"
As soon as Tumblr, FB and Instagram became the new hotspots for gaijin gals, I stopped reading and making blog posts. I started becoming more active in the Canadian Gal Comm and focused more on being the leader of Galuxury Gyarusa.

"Why I came back?"
After tuning into one of Reina's insta lives, and listening to her answer as to why she isn't active with posting gal things on insta really made me think. Instagram has become a place of ass kissing, likes and clout. Thoughts like "What am I going to post next. It has to get more likes than the last" run through some of our minds when it comes to the gram. Blogging was about you, your fashion journey and learning about other gals on a more personal level. It was basically a GAL DIARY. Looking back on all the random crappy blog posts I use to do, made me realize how much fun I had with it.( ¤̴̶̷̤́ ‧̫̮ ¤̴̶̷̤̀ )

"What's my style in 2020?"
For years I have always been in love with Onee, and then I started dabbling in Tsuyome. So it's definitely a mix of the two now! I'll do a Yamanba/Manba or other looks from time to time to satisfy 14 year old me, but Onee and Tsuyume are my everyday looks.

"What's the plan for this blog?"
It's basically going to be a GAL DIARY. My instagram is just my everyday life (And lots of food), so there is only hints of gyaru looks on there. Here i'll be posting pictures and talking about new fashion trends that I like, sharing thoughts on products I try out, coords,  things I find (So I can stop filling up my bookmark list and forgetting them the next day), makeup, hair, what's on my mind, foolishness, ETC, ETC.

I'm looking forward to have fun again with my blog~!

Ontario Gyaru: Winter Summit 2015☆

Hello hello helloヾ(@⌒ー⌒@)ノ~! Jan. 31st was finally Ontario's Gal Winter Summit in Toronto! It was a nice day that included bubble tea, shopping at Jealousy Beauty, having dinner at DonDon Izakaya and belting out lyrics at karaoke. I was so busy taking everyone else's pics, I forgot to take a selfie. Which is kind of good because I wasn't having the greatest makeup day(; ̄д ̄). Well this was my look for the meet!
Here are a few photos from the meet.
Anyone need ナプキン ? (*≧▽≦)ノシ

It was wonderful seeing all my loves again and the new faces as well. Everyone has busy lives, but I hope to see them all again real soon.
Adieu!

フレアフレグランス ~FLAIR Fragrance~ {Review}

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a review post for this product I picked up at Jealousy Beauty in Downtown Toronto (Queen street location) (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧FLAIR Fragrance Mist*:・゚
It's a mist spray that freshens your clothes throughout the day, and becomes stronger when you're moving a lot or working up a sweat. I remember seeing the CM for this spray last year, so I was surprised when I saw it on the shelf~

The packaging is so pretty! I can never resist a product with a nice package. It took me a while to decide which scent I wanted, but I ended up getting the FLORAL & SWEET scent for $8, and I don't regret it. I was anxious to try it out so I tested the mist on my hats and my main jacket to see how long the scent lasts.

Hat results: I sprayed all my hats the day before, and the next day it was still giving off that soft floral fragrance. The smell didn't start to ware off until 4 days later

Jacket results:
After giving the inside of my jacket 20 sprays, the scent kept the inside fur nice and fresh for about 7 days! Running to class every day, made me smell like a sweet flower (ノ*゚▽゚*)

Overall /
I recommend this for those who don't like strong smelling scents, and just want to exude a nice feminine smell. I want to try the other fragrances they have as well.
The only con is that you will unknowingly spray everything, and the bottle will start to disappear real quick...

Adieu~!

Gals Who Don't Want to be Gals

"Nose stripes are ugly"
"I hate over the top gyaru with tans and big hair"
"I don't like wearing much makeup"
...The list goes on.
If you hang around the gyaru community groups long enough, you will find phrases like those from girls who have yet to progress, and don't seem like they want to. I don't get it, do you like the style or not? I'm not sure if some of the new girls really know what gyaru style is and use to be. Not too long ago I was asked the question what does someone need to look gyaru? My answer was:

I think you need obviously noticeable gyaru makeup and great coordinates. The way you wear them everything, and little details make a difference.

Lol everyone kind of battled back and forth for a bit. After thinking about it for a while longer, I kind of want to change my answer to:
You need everything
*Gal make with lashes and the whole shabang
*Great body flattering coordinates
*Nicely done hair
*Trendy or unique accessories

This is what makes some gaijin gals JUST LOOK GYARU.
They do all those things, know what they want to look like and practice till they get it right. It's one
thing to have days when you are on off mode but still making progress, and another to look off all the time and say "Here is my gyaru style". You can't stop half way and say DONE. To me, learning how to do JUST eye make means absolutely NOTHING if you don't have anything else going on... Because now other styles are using the same makeup technique. If you put no effort you are not going to go far. There are so many magazines and photos of gyaru that you can search for online, and practice from. It's even better to ask privately for help if you are shy.
If you really love the fashion put in all your effort.

Be bold and do your best, because you will have more fun :)
I made this post especially for the Ontario gyaru.

☆Blogging Again☆

Heeeey everyone! I am happy to say that the crazy monkey gal is back!! Look at all this RADY inspired layout going on! :D lol do I look any different?? --->
I think my life is more eventful now and worth blogging about. I debated whether or not to delete my old posts, but decided not to because that's where I started from and it would be a shame to get rid of them :) So many positive... and some negative things have happened since the last time I made a real blog post which was about 2 years and some change, and i'm excited to share them and my everyday life! I have been holding down a job since way back last year, and finally making some $$$....Lol i'm still broke because I have so many things to pay T__T. Also, I have made some amazing gal friends in my province and around Canada, and now a part of a gyarusa.

When I stopped blogging, I kinda slowly started to read fewer blogs, and then for the longest time completely stop reading blogs (With exception to the few I run into on fb that seemed interesting). I have mostly been around and updated about other gals in the fb communities....but I find it's mostly drama and great gals are overshadowed by the fame seekers and the trouble makers. So before I prepared my blog for it's new journey, I decided to immerse myself back into the gal blog community by going on a hunt for new gals, old gals I adored, popular gals and everything in between.
My reaction to the results of my hunt was... WHAT THE HELL IS ALL OF THIS NONSENSE!

I can't even explain. I'm going to have to save that for another post because that business needs to be put in a damn list. Obviously not all of what I found was bad! There are lots of woooonderful gyaru and gyaruo out there now and i'm looking forward to following their gal lifestyle. Some of the gyaru that were newbies at the time of my old blogging days are now amazingly beautiful gals and well known, which is so exciting. But sadly some fantastic gyaru that use to blog, don't anymore or they do not even look the slightest bit gal :( .

ANYWAYS! I will be posting about 2 or more posts a week!
You can also see what i'm up to on intsagram @Cakepoyo if you don't already.
Let's talk! I would love to get to know more of you guys around the world. If you're a creep hiding on my fb...say hi once in a while...>___>
Follow me on my new journey!
